Media 100 Suite Version 1.6

Media 100 Suite brings blazingly-fast, high-quality editing and compositing to Mac OS X. Offering a unique combination of ease-of-use, ease-of-learning, and consistent professional results, Media 100 Suite takes advantage of all QuickTime codecs including DVCPRO HD and Apple ProRes. Apple Final Cut Studio and Adobe After Effects integration lets you share projects amongst Final Cut Pro, Color, and Media 100 and export timelines from Media 100 to After Effects. You can export legacy Media 100 projects to Final Cut Pro for further editing and revisions, export Final Cut Pro sequences into Media 100, or export a Media 100 sequence to Color for advanced color grading. Media 100 Suite supports the Matrox MXO2 family of I/O devices, AJA and Blackmagic Design video I/O cards, Media 100 HDx hardware, FireWire I/O, and Panasonic P2 and Sony XDCAM acquisition. Boris RED is included for integrated 3D compositing, titling, and effects.

What's New in Version 1.6

• AVC-Intra Support: Version 1.6 provides a file-menu option for Calibrated Software’s Calibrated{Q} MXF Import product which allows you to open MXF files in Media 100 Suite. When Calibrated{Q} MXF Import is used in conjunction with Calibrated{Q} AVC-Intra Decode, you can quickly import and edit files from cameras that record in the AVC-Intra codec. Calibrated{Q} AVC-Intra Decode also allows you to play media created in the AVC-Intra codec.

DVCProHD Playback: Version 1.6 integrates with Calibrated Software’s Calibrated{Q} DVCProHD Decode product, giving you the ability to play DVCProHD media on systems that do not have Apple Final Cut Pro installed.

• Support for Adobe After Effects CS5: Version 1.6 includes Boris XML Transfer for Media 100 Suite, providing full support for Adobe After Effects CS5.

• Intelligent Folder Import: A new intelligent folder import option recognizes certain file and folder patterns – for example, the Panasonic P2 folder pattern that commonly holds AVC-Intra media – and selectively imports files from those folders.

• Faster Rendering: Version 1.6 features faster rendering of multi-layer Boris RED filters.
